Four tools that answer the questions before you apply
Would you pass, what will it cost, is your software still supported, and is that supplier really certified. Each one is free and takes minutes.
Four free tools cover the questions to settle before applying for Cyber Essentials: a 24-question readiness checker mapped to the 2026 Danzell set, a cost calculator with the IASME fee for your size band, a supported-software lookup for the A6 questions, and a guide to checking any certificate on the IASME search.

Questions about the tools
Yes. All four tools are free and there is nothing to install. The readiness checker asks for your name and work email before it shows the full results. The cost calculator shows its estimate on screen and only asks for details if you want a written quote. The software lookup and certificate guide ask for nothing.
Precursor Security, an IASME Cyber Essentials certification body. The checker questions and the cost tiers come from the assessors who mark real applications.
Requirements for IT Infrastructure v3.3 (April 2026) and the Danzell question set v16.3, in force from 27 April 2026. IASME fee bands were verified on 4 November 2026.
Would you pass the 2026 question set?
Answer 24 yes or no questions, built by the assessors who mark Cyber Essentials, and get a readiness score in about five minutes, with any auto-fail questions you miss flagged first in your results.
